Meet Shortcake, affectionately known as "Shorty!" Shorty is just under a year old and is an absolutely adorable little cow kitty. She's a petite, round little girl with velvety-soft fur, bright green eyes, and the sweetest bubblegum pink nose. Between her expressive face and permanently curious little eyes, it's nearly impossible not to fall in love with her.
If you're looking for a cat who wants to be your best friend, Shorty is your girl. She is, without question, one of the most affectionate cats we've ever fostered. She loves to be close to her people, happily flopping over for belly rubs and curling up beside you whenever she gets the chance. While she's not a fan of being carried the traditional way, pick her up like a baby and she'll melt right into your arms. At bedtime, she'll happily snuggle under your chin and spend the night as close to you as she can possibly get... she’d probably crawl into your skin if she could.
Shorty also has plenty to say! She's delightfully chatty and loves to narrate her day. She'll announce when she's hopping onto the couch, greet you with a cheerful little hello when you walk into the room, and politely let you know if she needs something. Her sweet little chirps and conversations are part of her charm, and everyone who meets her falls in love.
Shorty is surprisingly good at entertaining herself. She loves carrying fluffy toy mice around the house and can spend hours figuring out cat puzzle toys with her sister, Sugar Cookie ("Cookie"). She's playful without being wild and always seems to find something fun to do.
Shorty adores gentle dogs and would love to be adopted with her equally sweet sister, Sugar Cookie ("Cookie"). The two are wonderful companions and spend much of their day playing, solving puzzles, and napping together. Shorty and Cookie are litter box experts and they LOVE people.
Shorty was born around August 1, 2025, and is currently being fostered in Farmington. Once she is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV, she will be available for adoption.
All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.
