Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Yip’s website, applications, and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Yip is a platform that helps adopters discover pets and connect with the shelters and rescues that care for them. Yip is not a shelter, rescue, breeder, or seller of animals. Adoption decisions, requirements, fees, and the transfer of any animal are made solely between you and the organization listing the pet.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and to adopt a pet through the Service. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

When using Yip, you agree not to:

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others, or to solicit animals for resale, breeding, research, or any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or interfere with its operation or security.
• Scrape, copy, or misuse content or other users’ information without permission.

Listings, availability, descriptions, and requirements are provided by shelters and rescues, not by Yip. While we work to keep the platform accurate, we do not guarantee that any listing is complete, current, or error-free, or that any particular pet is available. Each organization sets its own adoption process, screening, and fees, and reserves the right to approve or decline any adoption.

You retain ownership of the content you submit, such as profile details and messages. By submitting content, you grant Yip a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use that content as needed to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Yip does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yip and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of the Service or any interaction, adoption, or dispute between you and an organization or other user.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
