Meet Zeppelin! This beautiful 18-month-old 40# Belgian Malinois mix is the definition of a gentle soul. While she may be very shy when meeting new people, underneath that timid exterior is an incredibly sweet young lady just waiting for the right family to help her blossom.
Zeppelin gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets, both people and other dogs, and has a calm, laid-back personality that's a refreshing surprise for a young Malinois mix. She's happy to quietly observe the world until she feels safe, and with a little patience, her loving nature begins to shine through.
She's already making great progress with her manners. Zeppelin knows how to use the dog door, is doing great with house training, and settles nicely in her kennel. She will need continued work and confidence-building on a leash, as new experiences can still be a little overwhelming for her.
Zeppelin is looking for a patient, easygoing family that understands shy dogs and is willing to help her continue building confidence at her own pace. A calm home where she can feel safe, loved, and encouraged will allow this wonderful girl to truly come into her own.
If you believe that the most rewarding relationships are the ones built on trust, Zeppelin is ready to become your loyal companion for life.
Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.)
You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization.
Her adoption fee is $200. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar.
Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org.
