Meet Patty — The Sweet Soul Who Has Been Waiting for Her Turn.
Patty is a beautiful 1.5-year-old Hound mix weighing 41 pounds, and she’s ready to finally experience the love and comfort she deserves.
This gentle girl spent time down south caring for her puppies, but once her babies were rescued and found their way to safety, Patty was left behind to face her own journey — including completing heartworm treatment and learning that better days were ahead. Now she’s ready to put the past behind her and find the family who will love her for the rest of her life.
Patty can be a little timid when she first meets new people, but give her a little patience and kindness, and her sweet personality begins to shine. She loves going for walks and exploring with her hound nose, so a secure leash or lead is recommended to keep this curious girl safe while she follows all the amazing scents the world has to offer.
Patty is crate trained and believed to be house trained. She does well with submissive dogs due to her timidness, not reactivity, and would thrive with a family willing to help her continue building confidence while showing her what it means to be truly loved.
This sweet girl has spent enough time waiting. She’s ready for a home where she can relax, feel safe, and finally be someone’s cherished companion.
Patty is fostered in Harrisburg, PA.

We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
