His beautiful mackerel tabby coat seems to sparkle with intricate stripes and swirls, his soft fur feels like velvet, and his long, elegant tail hints that he's going to grow into one incredibly regal cat.But Spangled's greatest feature isn't his good looks...It's his wonderfully calm spirit.While some kittens are constantly racing from one adventure to the next, Spangled is perfectly happy doing a little of both. He loves chasing wand toys, batting bell balls across the floor, and joining in games with his feline friends. But he's equally content to sit back, watch the excitement unfold, and then casually wander over when something catches his curiosity.His foster family describes him as the definition of a "cool cat." Nothing seems to ruffle his feathers. Loud noises? No problem. Bigger cats? New friends. Smaller kittens? More friends. Spangled simply takes life as it comes, making him the kind of kitten who adapts beautifully to new situations.He gets along wonderfully with every cat he meets and enjoys having companions to play and nap with. Before doing his business, he carefully digs what seems like the world's deepest little hole, making sure everything is perfectly covered before proudly moving on with his day. It's just another glimpse into his thoughtful little personality.When playtime is over, you'll often find him tucked inside his favorite pop-up hideaway or peacefully napping on top of a cozy little cave, keeping an eye on the world from his favorite lookout.Spangled is also incredibly resilient.When he first entered rescue, he was in heartbreaking condition. He battled severe ringworm, an eye infection, and the effects of being extremely malnourished. In fact, he had lost so much fur that shelter staff initially believed he was a solid black kitten. Thanks to dedicated medical care, medicated baths, eye treatments, medications, and lots of love, Spangled has transformed into the healthy, handsome boy he was always meant to be.Through every treatment, he showed remarkable patience and trust, revealing the gentle heart that's always been inside.Today, Spangled greets his foster family when they walk into the room, happily accepts affection, enjoys brushing, and lives each day with quiet confidence.
