Meet Little Meika that needs a new home from no fault of her own. Meika is a sweet little girl that needs some socializing but wants to be your best friend. The owner can no longer care for her. Meika has a sister that also needs a new home, her name is Myia.
Meika and Myia will be two this Fall and have been with 4 other small dogs. Myia. Meika and Myia get along with each other but the girls do not get along with the other dogs and they killed one of the owner's Persians. Due to the owner's health issues and another difficult situation, the dogs are not well trained and unfortunately after the cat was killed, they have spent alot of time by themselves either in their crates or outside in a large fenced yard.
The girls are young and I think with exercise and training, they will be good dogs. They are very sweet to me, never have offered to bite me [which at a boarding kennel is a daily occurrence sometimes].
Meika is the leader of the two and Myia follows her. Meika is outgoing and will come to you. Meika will stay between Myia and me and so if I want to spend time with Myia, I have to make sure Meika is elsewhere, not because she is aggressive but because she wants all the pets and attention. Meika is extroverted, Myia is much quieter and introverted. We do not recommend a household with small children, small animals, and cats.
Meika is the larger of the 2, around 23lbs at her last check up. Myia was 17lbs. They are spayed, up to date on their rabies and Distemper combo. Their last heartworm test last year was negative. They love to play in the yard, run zoomies and chase my chickens [across the fence]. They come back when I call them but I wouldn't trust them off leash because they would chase small critters.
I have been caring for the dogs for the owner who has been in the hospital and I told her that I would help her rehome them. We are between Menomonie and Eau Claire, Wisconsin. IF you would like to see them, please let us know.
