Meet Earl
Earl is a 1-year-old, 55-pound goofy, energetic boy with a heart that's bigger than he knows. After being found as a stray, he experienced multiple transitions, including two unsuccessful adoptions, before the stress of shelter life landed him on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, thanks to the dedication of Friends of Minneapolis Animal Care and Control and so many people who advocated for him, Earl was given the second chance he deserved here with us at PJ’s Rescue.
Now safe with Cassandra's Canine Training, Earl is spending time decompressing, learning structure, building confidence, and discovering what it means to simply be a dog again. While shelter stress brought out behaviors like jumping, mouthiness, and difficulty settling, Earl has already shown just how intelligent and eager to learn he truly is.
From day one, Earl jumped into training with enthusiasm. He has quickly picked up obedience skills, is making fantastic progress with his recall, and continues to impress with his willingness to engage and work. As his confidence grows, his playful, affectionate personality shines brighter every day.
Earl thrives with exercise, enjoys working for treats, and loves having a job to do. With continued structure, consistency, and patient guidance, he's developing into an incredible companion.
Earl will come with one training lesson and his training equipment.
Earl's story is proof that many dogs simply need understanding, time, and the opportunity to succeed. His future is bright, and this is only the beginning of his journey toward finding the forever home he deserves.
