Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Although Winston is still young, he's at a wonderful age to continue learning and building confidence. Like all rescue dogs, he'll need a little time to adjust to his new surroundings, routines, and family.

3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to learn your household routine
3 Months to fully settle into family life
Winston is intelligent and eager to please, making him an excellent candidate for continued positive reinforcement training.
His new family should continue providing:

Daily exercise and interactive play
Consistent routines and structure
Continued socialization with people and other animals

Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Adopting Winston is a lifelong commitment that includes providing proper veterinary care, exercise, companionship, and a loving home.
As part of responsible pet ownership, Winston will need:
Annual veterinary wellness examinations
Routine vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian
Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
A nutritious diet to maintain a healthy weight
Daily physical exercise and mental enrichment
Continued training and socialization
A safe, loving indoor home where he is treated as a cherished member of the family
We recommend scheduling a wellness examination with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and ensure Winston continues to live a long, healthy, and happy life.
