Meet Cheese! Cheese is a 1‑year‑old JRT/Chi mix, about 11 lbs, and full of goofy, happy energy! This tiny local guy was found as a stray and never claimed, but he’s been nothing but sweet since the moment he arrived.
Cheese is a happy, playful boy who absolutely loves other dogs — he’ll run, wrestle, and play all day if he could. When he’s done, he curls up in his dog bed with his buddies for a cozy nap. He’s friendly with people too; he may hesitate for a minute, but he warms up quickly and becomes a total lovebug.
He’s crate trained and working hard on his housetraining. Cheese is not leash trained yet and is afraid of the leash for reasons we’ll never know. His foster mom is helping him build confidence, but he will need a fully fenced yard (no invisible fences) while he learns. A playful dog friend in his new home would be ideal — he learns best by following another dog’s lead and thrives with canine companionship.
Cheese loves toys, is very food motivated, and wants to please. With a little patience and a lot of love, this sweet boy will blossom into the best friend you’ve always wanted. He’s a total sweetheart who will make you smile every single day.
Cheese is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested neg. for heartworm. His adoption fee is $475
