Meet Lokki!
Lokki is a gentle, easygoing boy who is ready to trade outdoor life for the comfort and security of a loving indoor home. He clearly enjoys being around people and deserves a family who can give him the love, safety, and care he's been missing.
Despite reaching out to multiple local shelters, they have all been at capacity, so I am privately rehoming Lokki in hopes of finding him the forever home he deserves. Because of some ongoing medical needs, an indoor home is especially important for his health and quality of life.
Personality
Lokki is incredibly calm, affectionate, and easy to handle. He quickly warmed up to me, allowing me to pet him, pick him up, brush him, wipe his eyes, touch his paws, and even give him medication without much fuss. He's a chatty boy who isn't shy about sharing his opinions with a few meows! Whenever I'm outside in the yard or garage, he'll happily settle down nearby just to keep me company. He loves meeting new people and greets them by rubbing against their legs in search of pets. He's also litter box trained and, because of his urinary condition, will do best with at least two litter boxes.
Medical Needs
Lokki has a history of urinary crystals and a urinary blockage, which are common issues in male cats. He'll need to eat primarily wet food and always have access to plenty of fresh water. Keeping his stress low, providing environmental enrichment, and encouraging good hydration are all important parts of helping him stay healthy. With the right care, many cats with urinary issues go on to live happy, comfortable lives.
