Meow Paw-cino (formerly Chirop) is an approximately 3-year-old sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart.
He came to ACC after being found abandoned in an apartment building hallway. The shelter environment was overwhelming for him, and he was quickly placed on the at-risk list for euthanasia. Since being rescued, he's blossomed into the sweetest, most affectionate boy and is learning every day that people can be trusted.
Paw-cino is a world-class cuddle bug who loves curling up on your lap or stretching out on your chest for a nap. Because he was neutered later in life, he sometimes shows his affection by humping soft blankets or pillows. It's simply one of his quirky habits and is not associated with aggression.
When he's not snuggling, Paw-cino is all about playtime! He'll happily chase his favorite spring toy across the room or go into full hunter mode with a ⁰wand toy.
He's endlessly curious, loves following his people from room to room, and will greet you at the door with an enthusiastic chorus of meows after you've been away.
Paw-cino would thrive in a calm, patient home with someone who is around often and willing to let him settle in at his own pace. He can be a little shy when meeting new people and is still learning that hands are friends, not something to swat at. While he enjoys affection, he prefers not to be held for long periods and is happiest when he can choose when to cuddle.
Although he hasn't been tested with other cats, we think he could do well in a home with a feline companion if given a slow, proper introduction.
If you're looking for a playful, chatty, affectionate companion who just needs a little time to show his true self, Paw-cino may be your perfect match.
