Meet Duke!
Duke is a 12-week-old puppy believed to be a Chiweenie mix, and this little guy is absolutely bursting with personality! Equal parts playful and affectionate, Duke is happiest when he's either curled up for a snuggle or off on his next adventure.
When playtime rolls around, Duke's favorite things are his chew toys and Benebones. Squeaky toys, however? He just doesn't get the appeal! He'd much rather entertain himself with something he can really sink his puppy teeth into.
Duke adores other dogs and looks to them for both friendship and guidance. He loves following his foster sibling around and would likely enjoy having a canine companion in his forever home.
One thing you'll quickly learn about Duke is that this tiny pup has some serious hops! He has been known to leap right onto the kitchen table without even using the chairs as stepping stones. While his impressive jumping skills are entertaining, he's still just a baby and will need training and consistency to learn where those athletic talents are—and aren't—appropriate.
Like all puppies, Duke is still learning the basics, including house training, leash manners, and puppy etiquette. He's looking for a family ready to invest the time, patience, and love it takes to raise a confident, well-mannered companion.

Duke is up to date on vaccines and has been treated for puppy parasites. Wag On Inn will arrange for neuter and microchip at 5-6 months of age at The Spay and Neuter Center of New Jersey in Holmdel. Adopters must live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. His adoption fee is $600.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
