Meet Koda, the 9 month old mixed breed. Koda came to the Shelter after his previous guardian was unable to continue caring for him. He lived in a home with two small breed dogs as well as a cat in his previous home. Koda can be exuberant and energetic, typical to his size and age. Koda seems like he may enjoy the company of some dogs but not others. Any resident dogs should meet at the Shelter prior to adoption. Koda did well in the previous home with the dog-savvy cats unless they started to run.. then it was fun for Koda to chase them. A home with dog-savvy cats and a slow, thoughtful introduction may be a fit in the next home. Koda was noted to be house trained and crate trained in his previous home. He would thrive with an adopter that will provide daily mental and physical stimulation. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them
