Mardi is a beautiful 5-year-old Hound/Shepherd mix weighing just 40 pounds, and she truly is the whole package. Sweet, happy, playful, and just a little bit sassy, this precious girl has an irresistible smile and a heart overflowing with love.
Mardi adores people, loves children, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is even cat-friendly. She has all the makings of the perfect family companion.
Sadly, life wasn't always kind to Mardi. Her first family didn't give her the love, attention, or security that every dog deserves. When she arrived in our care, she was timid and unsure of the world around her. But with patience, kindness, and the love of her foster family, Mardi has blossomed into the most affectionate, trusting, and joyful little girl. Watching her transformation has been nothing short of amazing.
While Mardi has come so far, she continues to thrive with a canine companion by her side. Having another friendly dog in the home gives her confidence, brings out her playful personality, and helps her continue being the social butterfly she's become. She loves playing with her friends, going for leisurely walks, and then settling in at home surrounded by her favorite people and furry friends. That's where she feels happiest--safe, loved, and part of a family. Mardi is also cat-friendly, making her a wonderful fit for a home that already has feline family members.
