Tequila is a 1½-year-old, 44-pound female with a one-of-a-kind family tree! We know she's a true "pure mutt" because she was born right here in the Greater Charlotte SPCA rescue in 2025 and was recently returned through no fault of her own.
Curious about her breed mix? We were too! Her DNA results were full of surprises. Her top breeds are: 15% Labrador Retriever, 12% Chow Chow, 11% German Shepherd Dog, 10% Chihuahua, 8% Belgian Malinois - with 19 different breeds making up this amazing girl!
Tequila has been well cared for and is ready to settle into her next forever home. She is house trained, crate trained, and has excellent manners in the home. She loves going to doggy daycare, enjoys playing with other dogs, and would make a wonderful companion for an active family or individual.
Because some of the breeds in her DNA profile are commonly included on rental breed restriction lists, we ask that anyone who rents their home please check with their landlord or property management company before applying to ensure there are no restrictions.

If you are interested in adopting Tequila, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
