How did no one come looking for you?
When Champ was found wandering, we scanned him for a microchip and felt immediate relief. Surely someone had to be missing this handsome, gentle boy. We made every phone call, followed every lead, and waited for the family we were certain would be overjoyed to have him back.
Instead, every lead ended in disappointment.
No one came.
Despite being let down, Champ has held onto the sweetest heart. He greets the world with quiet optimism, never asking for much beyond a little kindness and someone to share life with. He's the type of dog who is happiest simply being with his person—whether that's strolling around the neighborhood, lounging on the couch, or keeping you company while you go about your day.
Champ does have a paw that gets sore from time to time, but don't tell him he should slow down. He still looks forward to getting out, exploring, and making memories with the people he loves. His spirit is resilient, and his heart is even bigger.
What Champ longs for most isn't adventure or excitement.
It's consistency.
It's knowing he'll never have to wonder where he'll sleep tonight.
