Darrow arrived at the shelter on 8/7/2026, from one of our local rescue friends. He's an approximately 6-7 year old red heeler mix. We were told there could be some corgi in there, but he looks a lot like a purebred heeler. He's a really nice boy! Darrow will need to be vet checked and neutered soon and his fee is $150.

Darrow lived outside most of his life and was abandoned by his owners when they moved. He's a little unsure of things right now but likes people and is happy and affectionate. He kind of goes with the flow of things. He will need a little basic training and regular exercise. A home that has some experience with herding breeds like him would be great. We do think he would do okay with other well mannered dogs. Cats? It's hard to say. Kids over 5 would be best.
