Meet Squid!
Squid is a truly remarkable young cat with an even more remarkable story. At just a few weeks old, she suffered severe head trauma that caused significant brain swelling and left her unable to even open her eyes. When she first arrived at our amazing veterinary partner, Art City Vets, her future was uncertain, and we honestly did not know if she would survive.
But Squid had other plans.
Now around 5-6 months old, Squid has grown into a playful, confident, and affectionate kitten who embraces life with enthusiasm. She may be blind, but that does not slow her down one bit. She has learned to navigate the world in her own unique way and continues to amaze everyone with her determination, adaptability, and spirit.
Squid loves being part of the action. She enjoys toys, wrestling with her feline friends, exploring new spaces, and investigating every sound and texture she can find. Most of all, she loves companionship. Squid adores humans, gets along wonderfully with dogs, loves other cats, and can often be found grooming her furry friends. She is a social butterfly who wants to be friends with everyone she meets.
Because of her previous injury, Squid takes seizure medication 3 times a day, and she takes it like an absolute champ. Her medication routine is easy, and she has become a pro at it.
Squid will thrive in a loving home that can provide a stable environment and continue helping her build confidence as she grows. She may approach the world a little differently than other cats, but she approaches it with courage, curiosity, and joy.
Squid is proof that resilience comes in small packages. After everything she has overcome, she is ready to find a family who will cherish her for the incredible cat she is.
If you are looking for a friendly, affectionate, one-of-a-kind companion with an inspiring story and a huge heart, Squid might just be your perfect match. ❤️
