Bella is Looking For: Her forever home! This happy girl is looking ahead to her new chapter, the one where she once again has her own humans for sniffy walks and romps in parks and all the adventures they can dream up. Making pup pals along the way would be great too. And - she says didja know Bella and Luna are the two most common female dog names. She says come on, she's more special than that. She wants a name of her very own - the one that, when called at the dog park, 17 dogs don't come running.
Most of all, though, she wants to know where she belongs, to be safe and loved. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is this smiling pup the one you see by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: Bella is AMAZING. She is gentle, polite, friendly to everyone she has met (people and dogs of all sizes), and so goofy when she comes out of her shell. She hasn't had any accidents in the house. She sleeps well through the night and has done well on her own -- no separation anxiety to note yet!. She has received glowing reviews from walkers and they all comment on how sweet and perfect she is! Bella LOVES to snuggle and cuddle on the couch and she deserves all that love and attention. She is not very treat motivated but loves her mealtimes and shows no food aggression. She keeps herself entertained with toys and will get a quick spurt of zoomies for maximum a few minutes and then wants to cuddle on the couch again. Bella also does great on car rides - she is quiet and absolutely LOVES feeling the wind in her ears from a cracked window. She walks well on the leash and is curious about sniffing her surroundings. She also jogged well on the leash with me for a short trial without pulling at all! She is very quiet overall (she hasn't barked once). Adopt this lovebug, you won't regret it!!!
Heartworm information: Bella is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Bella has completed this activity restriction period.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog
