Betsy Ross was rescued from street life around the Fourth of July, so her name seemed just right! She’s a gentle, mellow kitten with silky black fur. Betsy is shy and startles easily, so she needs a quiet, serene home and time to warm up without young children. Betsy’s favorite safe place is a tall window perch, where she quietly observes. Once she feels safe, she loves her soft fur being petted as she purrs sweetly. You can see in her eyes how much she wants that connection — she’s just too shy to ask. Once she trusts you, she is ok being held on her terms. She could be a wonderful solo kitty for someone home often or join a home with other kitties with proper introduction. Betsy just needs her adult person - someone patient enough to earn her trust and help her blossom.
