Handsome MERCURY is a long and low beagle mix boy looking for a home. We believe he's mostly beagle with some basset hound somewhere in his family tree. Mercury is a sweet, friendly guy, a bit on the shy side but happy to make new friends. Mercury loves playing with his dog pals. He's around 1 year old and fully grown at 31 pounds. Mercury came to us from a rural shelter, found dumped with other beagle types. Mercury has never known life as an only dog and is best suited to a home with another friendly, playful dog. He needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle nose into trouble. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an appoved adopter. You can meet Mercury at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30-1:30 at PetSmart Eastgate.

Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
