Molly is a female cat who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR) with a severely affected and painful left eye (OS) requiring specialized ophthalmic evaluation. Enucleation (surgical removal of the eye) may be necessary to relieve her discomfort, depending on the findings of further diagnostic evaluation. Without prompt veterinary intervention, Molly is at risk for ongoing pain, worsening inflammation, and additional complications. She requires either surgical enucleation of the left eye or further diagnostic workup and medical care to determine the most appropriate treatment. This level of specialized veterinary care exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.Despite her condition, Molly remains resilient and is doing her best while receiving supportive care. Molly needs a safe, compassionate placement where she can receive immediate veterinary evaluation, advanced diagnostics as indicated, and appropriate surgical or medical treatment to restore her comfort and improve her quality of life. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
