Rufus, his mom and his siblings arrived in rescue as part of a hoarding case. His mom, Maya, is a schnoodle mix. We have no idea who dad is. Rufus has curly hair and plenty of personality. We cannot guarantee that he won't shed. If you have allergy concerns or are looking for a breed guarantee, he isn't your boy. If you want a bundle of cuteness that will steal your heart and be your best friend, Rufus is raising his paw.

Must have: A home with another small, active dog. This is non-negotiable. Rufus won't be placed as an only dog or in a home with an older dog. He is young and active and needs friends. Exercise: Rufus is a young puppy. He's either on-the-go or ready to sleep and snuggle. Puppies needs LOTS of physical and mental stimulation every day. Best with: Other small playful dogs and lots of attention. Rufus would love to be a go-everywhere companion. Not ideal for: Single dog homes, low energy families, homes that don't want to put in the work to train and socialize a puppy or homes where you're gone for long periods of time. Energy level: High - Rufus is busy, busy, busy!

Rufus is a happy, active, playful puppy. Like all young puppies, he's figuring life out. House training is a work in progress. Leash training is new. Car rides have been minimal. He's ready to learn and grow with her forever family!

Good with dogs: Yes - he loves them and needs them! Good with kids: Rufus hasn't met kids, but he loves everyone and would love to help raise a human or few. Cats: Rufus hasn't med cats, but we suspect he will think they are playmates. He's young and happy to be trained by a canine AND a feline. Fun fact: Rufus likes to explore and adventure!
