Meet Baylee, a true sweet Southern girl with a heart full of love! Baylee was found as a stray in Georgia, and while we may not know much about her past, it’s clear that she has come a long way. She can be a little shy at first and seems to have experienced some harsh treatment in her past, so she takes a little time to warm up. But once she trusts you, she is ALL in - and she will happily become your devoted companion. Baylee is housebroken, crate trained, and has good house manners. She has a moderate activity level and enjoys being active, but she is equally happy relaxing and hanging out with her people. She loves being inside, although she occasionally enjoys stretching out in a sunny spot. Baylee is wonderfully social and gets along with everyone! She is very friendly with other dogs, does well with cats, and has experience with chickens, goats, and horses. She is also great with kids and seems especially curious about them. Meeting new people is one of her favorite things, and she loves getting out and about on outings. She doesn’t have a digging habit and isn’t much of a barker, making her an easygoing companion. Baylee’s favorite things include spending time with her stuffies, going for car rides, and, naturally, enjoying a delicious Pup Cup! Her other favorite treats are dried salmon and cheese. Baylee would thrive with an active family, with or without other dogs, who will give her the patience and kindness she needs to continue blossoming. A home with a securely fenced yard of at least four feet would be ideal. Once Baylee knows she is safe and loved, her sweet personality truly shines. She is affectionate, gentle, loyal, and happiest simply being with her people. And because she is a proper Southern lady, naturally “Gone with the Wind” is her favorite movie, while Boz Scaggs provides the soundtrack to her days. Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Fees for senior dogs (7 or older) and foster dogs will be adjusted accordingly.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
