Duke is a sensitive sweetheart with a lot of love (and energy!) to bring to your life. Duke is still getting the hang of walking on leash, but so far he loves spending time in the great outdoors, be it sniffy hikes, playing fetch in the yard, or just zooming around and getting silly with his friends. Duke lived in a bubble in his previous home, meaning he wasn't meeting a lot of new people or animals, and wasn't going to a lot of new places. He'd be a great companion for an adopter in a lower-traffic environment, where he can work on building up his confidence when navigating new places, meeting new people, etc. Duke could potentially live with children who can follow his management plan.Duke seems interested in meeting other dogs, but doesn't have a lot of practice doing so and has sometimes been worried or conflicted when meeting dogs while in our care. While Duke is continuing to learn about the world and working on building some dog social skills, he would do best as the only dog in the home, please!
