Trudy is 9 years old, and she'd like a word with whoever decided that means slowing down. She'll check the whole yard before she checks you — over the rocks, into the leaves, all business — and she'll circle back on her own schedule. Sit down and give her a few minutes and she comes in, and then she's in your lap and won't get out of it. That's the deal with her: she decides, and once she's decided, she's yours.
At a sleek 50-ish pounds, Trudy co-exists peacefully with dogs and cats. What she wants is someone unhurried, a quick potty and security check yard, then a couch buddy to unwind with at the end of her day.

Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; though some of our urgent or long-term dogs (like Trudy) have discounted fees.
