Hi, I'm Butters! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the nice volunteers, who spend time with and take great care of me—they are so much fun to hang out with! Now I hear that I'm ready to find a wonderful family of my very own, where I can love and be loved furever! I hope to meet them very soon and charm them with my wonderful personality!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did well with the female but not the male, so if you have a nice female dog at home already, let's meet. / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a friendly, fun, happy boy who is as sweet as can be! I'm playful, inquisitive, and full of tail wags, and the volunteers say I'm one of the happiest boys around. I was so good for my bath and even rolled around on my towel afterward to help dry myself off—why wait when you can do it yourself? I'm a very sweet, playful guy with lots of personality and love to share! / Energy level: 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'come', 'leave it', and 'place' commands. I also know how to accept friendly strangers without jumping on them. I'm working on my leash manners now. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / I'm doing pretty well in my crate at Mostly Mutts, though sometimes I come out quickly as I'm ready to spend time with and have fun with the volunteers. / I'm having just a few accidents on the shelter schedule.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love toys and treats, and I enjoy doing lots of fun things with the nice volunteers! Going for walks is another favorite thing, and afterwards, I'm happy to slow down and cuddle with my person on the bench out front. I'm sure we'll discover lots more things we like doing together once I'm in my new home! / I can't think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.

Who We Are: Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Adopting a Friend: Dogs:
Our standard adoption fee is $299. Each dog that MM adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting: • Spay or Neuter Surgery • Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella) • De-Worming • Microchip • Heartworm Testing (1 yr & older) we pay for treatment for any HW+ animal after adoption at our own vet

Cats: Our adoption fee is $175 for cats and kittens. Each cat that MM adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting: • Spay or Neuter Surgery • Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, FVRCP) • De-Worming • Combo-Tested (FeLV/FIV)

The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application through our website, www.mostlymutts.org. You may also call our phone line, 770-272-6888 or email adopt@mostlymutts.org with specific questions about any of our adoptable animals. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Must be 21 or over to adopt. Our Adoption process is very thorough...MM prides itself in making every effort to place each animal in the right home.
