Meet Fletcher!
A spirited two-year-old Jack Russell Terrier currently in Soddy-Daisy, TN, whose essence is a lively burst of terrier enthusiasm wrapped in a handsome white coat with brown patches.
At 22 pounds, Fletcher is sturdy, athletic, curious, and always ready to put his busy brain and speedy little legs to work! Sprinting, exploring, digging, neighborhood walks, swimming, and chasing motorized toys that make sounds are all high on his list of favorite things. Give him room to run, and he will happily turn an ordinary afternoon into an adventure!
After the action, Fletcher reveals his wonderfully affectionate side. He loves stretching out on the sofa with his people, sleeping beside them at night, and staying close to his favorite humans. He also enjoys car rides and has happily played with a familiar dog friend.
Fletcher is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He knows sit and down and has completed puppy classes and additional training programs. He has mild arthritis in his right hip but is otherwise healthy.
True to his watchful terrier nature, Fletcher can be reactive around unfamiliar people and some dogs, and he needs time and space to warm up. He may become nippy or growl if disturbed while resting, although he has no bite history with people or dogs. Because of these behaviors, Fletcher needs an experienced, two-adult family without young children who understands terriers, respects canine signals, and will continue positive reinforcement and behavior support.
A securely fenced yard is especially important because this clever explorer enjoys digging, finding exits, and making capture into an unexpected game! A compatible, confident dog friend may suit him after thoughtful introductions, although this has not been formally assessed. His compatibility with cats is unknown.
Fletcher brings humor, energy, loyalty, snuggles, and plenty of personality to every day. With patient adults, room to move, predictable routines, and an appreciation for his wonderfully opinionated terrier spirit, he can build a rewarding bond with his new family!
