Meet Maeve
Maeve is a beautiful 1-year-old girl who is still learning that people can be kind, safe, and maybe even pretty great. She came to us semi-feral, and while she has made progress, Maeve is still the more timid of the two sisters.
Maeve isn’t going to be the kitty who runs up to greet you on day one—and that’s okay. She needs a patient, understanding adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to adjust at her own pace. A quiet home, gentle interactions, and lots of patience will help her continue building confidence.
Watching a shy cat like Maeve slowly learn to trust is incredibly rewarding. Every little milestone—staying nearby instead of hiding, accepting a treat, or eventually choosing to come closer—is a big accomplishment for her.
Maeve could be adopted on her own, but she could also go home with her sister, Celia. Having a familiar friend by her side may help make the transition into a new home a little less scary.
If you have a soft spot for the shy ones and are willing to let a relationship develop on Maeve’s timeline, she may be the girl for you.
