Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Lion is Looking For: His forever home! This young boy is eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed.
He also needs an adopter who will commit to daily thorough brushing and regular professional grooming. Lion's coat is high maintenance, mats are painful, and he deserves better than to walk around with a painful coat.Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he's storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Does Lion have a spot in your home and your heart?
What My Foster Says About Me: He literally is the sweetest pup. He settled in fine with us - he whined for like 5 mins when in the crate and has been sleeping through the night with no issues. I keep crate in room/covered and have white noise on to help him which has worked out great. Lion barks when he needs to use the bathroom or is hungry.
Lion has spent a great deal of time in his crate over the last month as he recovered from surgery for a broken leg. The good news is that he’s doing well and no longer needs to be on limited activity. He still sleeps well in his crate, but during the day he wants to be out of it so he can hang with his people. Lion wants so badly to make up for the time he lost that his efforts to play can strike some dogs as a bit annoying. He does best with older children who understand to be patient with him.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
