Oso is a handsome 42-pound, approximately 8-year-old Flat-Coated Retriever mix with the sweetest, gentlest soul. He is completely vetted, neutered, and has successfully completed heartworm treatment.
Oso enjoys the simple things in life, a cozy place to nap, relaxing under a shade tree, being softly brushed, and simply being near his people. He doesn’t ask for much; he just loves companionship and affection.
Oso has done well with other dogs and prefers calm companions his size or smaller who are happy to peacefully hang out rather than wrestle or play rough. His best buddy is Lily. He has also done well in a home with cats and with children ages 6 and older. He has not been tested with younger children.
He is potty trained and kennel trained. Oso does have storm anxiety and needs to be safely indoors during storms, as he may try to escape a kennel or jump a chain-link fence when frightened.
This sweet boy is looking for a quiet, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by comfort, kindness, and plenty of love. Oso truly is a gentle soul simply looking for a soft place to land and a family who will cherish him.
