Sweet, little Peppa
landed at the Prince George’s County Animal Shelter in mid-August and IMMEDIATELY became a volunteer favorite! Her little nubbin of a tail never stops wiggling and she just adores everyone she meets!
LOVEPAWS was able to swoop in and save this girl so she can begin her path to healing. Right now she’s battling:
An upper respiratory infection (hello, boogers!)
Painful entropion in both eyes (we have surgery scheduled)
A positive erlichia test (100% preventable with monthly flea/tick prevention!)
✂️ A docked tail that’s still healing
⚖️ Severe underweight — she came into the shelter thin and kept losing weight while there. She’s now only 37 lbs
We believe (and a vet confirmed!) that she’s likely around 7 months old and a Cane Corso mix.
Peppa loves stuffies and chews, but more than anything, she just wants to be with her people. She adores other dogs and when it's time to be quiet, she always seeks out her foster brother to snuggle up and nap with.
We CANNOT WAIT for her to learn that the world is safe ✨, that no one is going to hurt her, and that from here on out, she will only know love.
