NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
NEW INTAKE 9/12/2026: Itsy Bitsy - female - approx 12 years old - 5.2 pounds - Shih Tzu
Reason for intake: TERRIBLE! Itsy Bitsy came in with Teenie Weenie (we had no names on intake, so these are names we gave them). Here's the low-down. We were contacted by a lady who was contacted by a man whose wife passed away. The husband "doesn't care what happens to them (the dogs), he wants them gone". There were four dogs. He delivered the dogs to the lady who contacted us. All four were in a wire kennel with urine and based upon the urine burns, we believe they probably lived in that kennel or spent a lot of time in that kennel. Nevertheless, we could not take all four but we did figure out a plan for the other two. The two we took in were the tiniest and in the worst shape. They were all very scared. Poor little Teenie Weenie was so thirsty, he was drinking the urine mixed with water at the bottom of the kennel that ALL OF THEM were laying in. We see a lot of bad things... it's just part of what we do, but how can someone pass by an animal in this condition and just go about their day? It just is
unconscionable.
NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
