Meet Lane & Rory!
Lane and Rory may not be sisters by birth, but somewhere along the way, these two little girls decided they were meant to be best friends. They are often found chasing each other around, tumbling through their favorite toys, or curled up together for a cozy kitten nap. Their friendship has blossomed into a special bond, and they truly enjoy having each other by their side.
Lane is the sweetest little cuddlebug you could ever meet. She absolutely loves affection and will happily be held like a baby, content to relax in your arms while soaking up all the love. She also has a playful side and loves chasing toys, playing tag with Rory, and tumbling through crinkle tubes. Give her a lap and she may happily lie upside down for belly rubs before settling in for a nap. Lane is gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully easygoing, and she gets along beautifully with cats, dogs, and children.
Rory may be tiny — at around 9 months old and only 4 pounds — but she has a HUGE personality! This little girl is fearless, confident, and endlessly curious. She’s usually the first one to investigate something new, greet a stranger, or confidently rub against a dog as if they’ve been friends forever. Rory loves to play and can turn just about any toy into an adventure. Crinkle tubes, balls, wand toys — she’s enthusiastic about them all! Once playtime is over, her softer side comes out. Rory loves curling up with the other cats, snuggling with her humans, and giving plenty of affectionate rubs.
Together, Lane and Rory are such a wonderful pair. They balance each other beautifully — Lane brings her gentle, cuddly sweetness, while Rory brings her confident, playful energy. They keep each other entertained, seek each other out for companionship, and are frequently found snuggling together.
Both girls adore people and have done wonderfully with cats, dogs, and children. They are playful, affectionate, social, and full of personality.
Lane and Rory are looking for a home where they can continue to grow, play, explore, and — most importantly — stay together. They may not have started life as sisters, but they’ve certainly become family. ❤️

These cats are spayed, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative.
Adoption fee is: $300
Can’t adopt? Consider donating! We are in need of cat food, litter, and enrichment items for the kitties in our care! This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
