Meet Marley and Chloe!Their previous owner told us they’re 11 years old, but I’m going to need her to check her math—because there is NO WAY. These two have more pep and personality than dogs half their age.Marley is about 13 pounds and runs around like a puppy. He’s happy, healthy, and just an all-around fun little guy. He loves going for walks, snuggling, eating (of course), and settling in for a good nap when the excitement is over.And then there’s Chloe—or Chloe 2, as we call her—because she looks almost exactly like a Chloe I fostered for well over a year. She’s a tiny 7-pound ball of spunk. She runs along the back of the couch, prances around the house, loves her treats and munchies, and happily entertains herself with toys.Both are great with other dogs and have settled in beautifully. They even slept comfortably in separate crates.Ideally, we’d love to see Marley and Chloe adopted together, but unlike some bonded pairs I’ve fostered, they don’t seem overly dependent on each other. I do think they could be happy adopted separately into the right homes.They are seriously the funnest, sweetest little things—and apparently no one has told them they’re supposed to be seniors.Marley (aka Thunder) the male/neutered is approximately 13lbs. He suffers from seizures maybe 1 every 3 to 6 months. He is not on medication as I never noticed it controlling his threshold. He maintains with midazolam at the onset of his seizures. They generally are mild tremor like with some leg stiffness/wobbling when walking. He also is partially blind from an old injury Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. We are 100% volunteer powered. Volunteers process the applications and need time above their personal needs and full-time jobs to process the apps.Please have patience. We do not have any paid staff members. Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. We do not have a physical location of our own.
