Meet Alex — a 5-month-old, 15-pound Dachshund mix with short legs, a big personality, and what we lovingly refer to as his little flippers.

Alex has a funky little walk, but he certainly doesn’t seem bothered by it. He is playful, sweet, and always ready to join in on the fun. And once he’s done zooming around on his flippers, he is more than happy to climb straight into your lap.

He loves being held, cuddled, and carried around like the tiny baby he is fully convinced he still is. Basically, Alex has two modes: flipper-powered chaos and professional lap dog.

His unique walk is currently being evaluated by our veterinary team, but for now, Alex is busy doing what puppies do best — playing, snuggling, and making everyone laugh.

If you’re looking for a sweet little sidekick with a unique strut, built-in flippers, and absolutely no concept of personal space, Alex might be your guy. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $300.
