Meet Buddha â One Cool Cat Waiting for His Cool Person! Buddha is 6 years old and came to PAC as a stray on June 9, 2026. On August 11, he headed to a foster home, and that change of scenery brought out a whole new side of him.It didnât take long for Buddha to discover the joys of foster life. His foster family has watched him go from shelter life to completely relaxed â including sleeping flat on his back like he owns the place. Buddha is an interactive, playful guy who loves toys, especially feathers, mice and his tunnel. He has plenty of energy to keep himself entertained and is genuinely fun to play with.Heâs also quite the conversationalist. Buddha loves greeting his people in the morning and saying hello when they come home. He enjoys attention and head scratches, but he isn't much of a cuddler â and that's perfectly okay. He's a cat who likes connection without needing to be attached to your lap.His foster family has also discovered that Buddha likes nice dogs! Since he cannot have a feline companion, a friendly, respectful dog could provide him with some extra companionship and playtime.And then thereâs the ceiling fan. Buddha has decided those things are highly suspicious. We don't know what happened in his past, but apparently ceiling fans have some explaining to do. About FeLVFeLV, or Feline Leukemia Virus, is a feline-specific virus. It cannot infect people or dogs. It can spread between cats through close, prolonged contact, so Buddha should live without FeLV-negative cats.Being FeLV positive doesn't change the fact that Buddha is a funny, affectionate, playful cat with plenty of personality to share. He simply needs a home prepared to meet his specific needs and keep him indoors with regular veterinary care.Buddha has already shown his foster family that when given the chance to relax and be himself, there's a pretty wonderful cat underneath that shelter stress.Now he's looking for someone who will appreciate the trills, the toys, the morning greetings, the dog-friendly attitude, the suspicious ceiling fans and one very entertaining cat.
