We'd like to introduce Miss Kitty who is looking for a loving home! She has beautiful eyes and a super pretty tricolor/tabby coat. Her chin, neck, and tummy are white and there is evidence of her "calico-ness" in the soft cocoa color she sports.
She came to Kitty City from Hutchison, KS, where she was due to be euthanized the day after KittyCity rescued her. As we understand it, Miss Kitty (her name at that time may have been Heinz 57) had been an only cat whose person had passed. She initially was rehomed with a relative who had three small children. After it didn't work out there, she was relinquished to the shelter.
Miss Kitty is very friendly and loves attention, but for short periods of time. She is not a lap cat, but often likes to be nearby. She is curious and slowly exploring her foster home. Miss Kitty is not afraid of the resident small dog but does give him a wide berth. She will hiss if he tries to approach her.
Miss Kitty has a good appetite for her salmon/seafood pate and dry food. She uses her litter box well and likes to play with toys, stringed balls, etc. Considering her history, she may need some time to adjust. She's skittish initially, then becomes more confident. We believe Miss Kitty will be a wonderful companion for a someone who is seeking a sweet kitty friend.
Miss Kitty was born approximately August 4, 2017, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.
