Chip is a male cat who presented with chronic diarrhea that has been non-responsive to treatment, along with dehydration and poor weight gain. He requires further diagnostic workup and continued veterinary care to determine the underlying cause of his persistent gastrointestinal symptoms and address his ongoing dehydration and difficulty maintaining appropriate weight. There is also concern for possible ringworm, which will require further evaluation and appropriate treatment if confirmed. This level of diagnostic and supportive care exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.Despite his ongoing medical concerns, Chip remains resilient and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Chip needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive prompt veterinary evaluation, additional diagnostic testing, treatment for his chronic diarrhea and dehydration, nutritional support, and evaluation and treatment for possible ringworm.This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
