Franky J | 4-year-old Chihuahua mix | Tiny tennis balls, big personality
Franky J is an 18-pound Chihuahua mix with a big personality packed into a little body! He’s sweet, playful, cuddly, and easygoing once he settles in. He loves walks, car rides, snuggling under the covers, and belly rubs, but his absolute favorite thing in the world is tiny tennis balls! He’d happily spend hours chasing them around a fenced yard. Franky is house trained in his foster home, though accidents can happen as he adjusts to a new environment.
Franky gets along well with other dogs and would love a home with a canine companion or two. He can sometimes bark back when other dogs bark at him on walks, but he listens to commands to stop and redirects easily. He would do best with a dog friend and people who can give him plenty of companionship rather than leaving him alone for long stretches.
Franky shows mild interest in his foster family’s cat and may occasionally give chase, but he hasn’t shown a desire to harm the cat. A home with a dog-savvy cat who can hold their own would be ideal. Franky can also be a bit of a mama’s boy and may need time to warm up to some men, especially larger men with beards. With patience and the chance to build trust at his own pace, he will learn to feel comfortable.
Franky would thrive with patient, confident adopters who can provide structure, regular walks, plenty of companionship, and
a fenced yard where he can chase his beloved tiny tennis balls. He’d be happiest with other dogs and people who are around to share in his daily adventures. If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet, funny little guy who loves his people, adores his dog friends, and is always ready for fetch, belly rubs, or cuddles under the covers, Franky would love to meet you!
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $400. Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
