HI, I&#39M FLIPPY! I AM SUPER KID AND DOG FRIENDLY! I EVEN LIKE CATS! I&#39M THE SWEETEST BLACK LAB YOU&#39VE EVER MEET! OR INQUIRE AT INFO@BARKVILLEDOGRESCUE.ORG.

Flippy is a 2-year-old Black Lab mix, weighing about 58 pounds. He is pure sunshine in dog form. This boy is super sweet -- the kind of gentle, loving soul who wins over everyone he meets. Flippy is very friendly with dogs, adores kids, and is even great with cats. If it has a heartbeat, Flippy wants to be his/her friend.

This awesome boy&#39s journey hasn&#39t been easy. Flippy was on a very urgent list at the Bartow County Shelter and came heartbreakingly close to losing his chance at a happy life. We are so incredibly grateful we pulled him -- he deserves all the love and attention in the world.

When we picked up Flippy, we could tell that this poor boy has been very neglected and underweight. But with proper care, he quickly recovered. Now, all he needs is a loving home. Even though, he went through so much, his positive outlook on life and cheerful spirit was never taken away from him.

Flippy is not only adorable -- he&#39s also smart. He picks up new tricks quickly and is walking nicely on the leash. He&#39s already house-trained and crate-trained, making him an easy addition to any home.

This sweet boy would thrive with a nice backyard to explore, a furry friend to play with or kids to shower him with affection. He has a medium energy level -- playful and fun, but not over the top -- and he would be grateful for daily walks and adventures.

This awesome boy is a true lovebug, who enjoys life and every new experience with joy and curiosity. It feels like he has left his past behind and is soaking up as much happiness as he possibly can.

Flippy is microchipped, neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready for a forever family who will adore him as much as we do. Could that family be yours?

If you think Flippy might be the one for you, we&#39d love to hear from you! Please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.

He's been waiting 11 days for someone to come get him.

BarkVille Dog Rescue, formerly known as BarkTown Dog Rescue & Sanctuary, is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization committed to saving dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages. We are a non-breed specific rescue, and we do not exclude dogs due to extensive medical needs. Our goal is to save dogs in the most need of rescue assistance, including older dogs, medically challenged dogs, and PitBull Terrier type dogs. We work with our friends and donors to raise the funds necessary to provide life-saving treatments for the dogs we rescue and to identify the best foster situations for the dogs in our care.

Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment needed prior to adoption. Our dogs are then placed in a nurturing foster home while they await placement into their permanent home. Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of our dogs beyond the adoption process. Â Our goal is to help dogs in distress without regard to age, breed, size, or ease of placement. To the extent our finances allow, dogs in the greatest need take priority.

Our cost to provide basic veterinary care to a dog is about $300 and covers all necessary vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. If the dog tests positive for Heartworm disease (as many of our GA stray dogs do), the additional cost to treat heartworms is approximately $500-$600. For dogs with injuries requiring specialized treatment and/or surgery, costs can easily increase into the thousands. Â When BarkVille becomes aware of a dog in need, we immediately get to work posting the dog on our social media platforms and networking with our internet friends & partners to make people aware of the dogâs situation. We raise funds and solicit for fosters, and once we have both, we transport the dog to one our partner vets as quickly as possible.

We strive to work with area shelters and other rescue groups to develop a network of supporters and volunteers to create a better world for homeless dogs.
