maeve located in illinois

They moved out. They left her behind. Maeve stayed.Meet Maeve, a 2.5-year-old Malinois who was abandoned when her family moved away and left her alone in the house. We can’t change what happened to her.But we can change what happens next.Because despite being failed by the people who were supposed to care for her, Maeve is still incredibly sweet. She is hungry for affection — and yes, we mean that literally and emotionally. She wants to be loved. She wants connection. She wants someone who will finally make her feel safe.Maeve isn't a finished product. She is going to need someone willing to put in the work. She'll need training, structure, consistency, patience, and a whole lot of love. And in return? You get the opportunity to watch a dog who has been through a lot finally realize that her life can be good. Maeve needs someone who will help her bloom. She is NOT a match for cats, small dogs, or children, so her ideal home will be an adult-only home where she can have the time, attention, and guidance she deserves.Maeve doesn't need someone to feel sorry for her.She needs someone to show her that the rest of her life can look completely different from the beginning.Someone who will say:"You were left once. I won't leave you." Illinois Seeking a foster OR adopterMaeve's first family walked away from her. We're looking for the person who will walk toward her.
