Meet the terrific Tess, an adorable two year old Boston mix with the absolute sweetest eyes! Her super fun ears and unique fur pattern leave us very curious about what other breeds she might have in her. Whatever her secret mix is, it made for a completely stunning, one-of-a-kind pup who is ready to find her fur-ever family!
Although Tess was surrendered for unknown reasons, she is so brave and ready to bring lots of love to her new family. She is playful with all the people and animals she meets, has perfect house manners, is fully house trained and clean/quiet in her crate. Tess also comes with basic training built right in! While she is a polite and gentle indoors, she is a party animal in the yard and would love some time to play fetch and explore. Her foster family has started working on leash training with her, and it’s going well so far! She is looking for a family that will help her develop good walking habits and become the overall best canine citizen she can be!
This cute and clever girl deserves nothing but the happiest life and most loving home. If you've fallen for the tremendous Tess, let her know by submitting an application today!
Medical Note: This dog is being treated/has been treated for heartworm disease. Untreated heartworm disease can cause lasting damage to the heart, lungs and arteries, and can affect the dog’s health and quality of life even after the parasites are gone, possibly presenting as medical complications and/or new conditions in the future. Whenever possible, SOSARL advocates for following the American Heartworm Society guidelines for heartworm disease treatment as the safest and most effective methods; the active portion of this treatment protocol can take up to four months to complete. Once treatment is completed and the dog tests negative for microfilaria, the dog will be cleared to resume normal activity and will be ready to travel north and be placed into an adoptive home. This dog showed no symptoms of heartworm disease before or during treatment, and is expected to complete treatment with no complications. Please ask your Adoption Counselor for the specific treatment protocol used for and current status of this dog. Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history.
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
