~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption,
things could drastically change a month later. Since we don’t have a long health history of your
adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam
and follow up exams.~
Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****
Temperament: If you’re looking for a loving companion with a big heart and plenty of personality, Gizmo may be your perfect match! This sweet 5-year-old, 16-pound boy is truly a little gem. Gizmo is as sweet as pie, wonderful with other dogs, and friendly with people. He has a gentle, affectionate nature and would love nothing more than to be included in your everyday life.
Gizmo is also an enthusiastic lap dog! He loves jumping up beside you, settling into your lap, and soaking up all the attention he can get. Whether he’s cuddling with his favorite person or spending time with his canine friends, Gizmo is happiest when he’s surrounded by love.
He is leash-trained and kennel-trained, making him a well-mannered companion and a great addition to the right home. Gizmo does have a luxating patella, which causes him to pause occasionally. He has started joint supplements to support his mobility, and he is also working on losing a little weight. Reaching a healthier weight will help reduce pressure on his patella and support his overall well-being.
Gizmo is a special boy with so much love to give. He’s ready to leave his foster home behind and become someone’s cherished companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate little dog who will happily claim your lap—and your heart—Gizmo is waiting to meet you! --
Where did he come from: He was surrendered to our rescue when his owners couldn't afford to care for him.
