Meet Mason!
Mason has had a hard start to life, but he’s finally discovering that the world can be a pretty wonderful place and that he has a lot of love and personality to share. At about a year old and 55 pounds, Mason is just beginning to come into his own, and watching his sweet, funny, easygoing personality emerge has been such a joy.
Mason can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially men, so he may need some time to decide that you’re one of the good ones. But once Mason trusts you, you have a pal for life. He loves his people, and his affectionate side comes out more and more as he feels safe and comfortable.
Mason also does well with other dogs and is great at taking his cues from his canine friends. Having a confident dog around can help him feel more comfortable and show him the ropes.
This sweet boy has so much potential, and he’s ready for someone who will give him the patience, kindness, and consistency he deserves. In return, you’ll get to watch Mason blossom into the happy, goofy, loving dog he was always meant to be.
Mason has already come so far. Now he just needs a person who will believe in him and stick around for the rest of his journey.

Adoption Fee: $200
TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.
Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines:
Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
