Update 10/5: This dog is on our Call to Action List after being involved in an attack on another dog outside of the shelter. She is available to adopt, but we will require no other dogs in the home, no dog parks, and a recommendation of muzzling in public spaces where dogs may be present. She needs your help! Adopters: Visit the shelter any day between 1:00–5:30 PM to meet this pet, or email our Adoption Team for more information or to schedule an appointment.Fosters: Email our Foster TeamRescue Organizations: Email our Rescue TeamAlani has spent much of the past 20 months waiting for a permanent home. She's described as affectionate, playful, housebroken, crate trained, and loves her people! Unfortunately, her recent adoption ended following a serious altercation with another dog. While Alani has enjoyed many positive interactions and playful experiences in shelter playgroups, she will always need to wear a muzzle around other dogs as a safety precaution due to previous altercations with other dogs. Alani has so much to offer the right person, but her placement options are limited. We're hoping to find someone who can give her the safe, stable, single-dog home she deserves.Alani has a contagious zest for life. She loves fetch! In a previous foster home, she was a total cuddlebug, crate and housetrained, did the cutest zoomies when she was excited! The foster told us that Alani will sleep on her dog bed or crate through the night... but may sneak into your bed in the early morning hours if it's okay with you! The folks at Fresh Patch are sponsoring an at-home training session focused on decompression and integration into the home for Alani's adopters. @freshpatch We checked in on Alani — and she still needs her person. ??
