Hello everyone! My name is DOLLY. Here is some important information you need to know about me:BREED: Husky MixAGE: 1 year 9 monthsGENDER: FemaleWEIGHT: 20 kg / 44 lbsHEIGHT: 66 cm / 26 inchesHIGHLIGHTS: loyal, loving, intelligent, cuddlyI was living as a stray with my three puppies in an unsafe area when I was found. It was freezing cold, and there was even a risk that my babies could be taken away from me. Thankfully, we were rescued and brought to safety. I had to be brave for myself and my puppies, and now I’m ready to discover what life can feel like when I’m safe and cared for. There are still many things about the world that are new to me, and unfamiliar sounds or experiences can sometimes make me nervous. But with patience, kindness, and gentle guidance, I believe I can learn that I no longer have to be afraid. I’m an extremely loving girl, and I adore people. Despite everything I’ve been through, my heart is still open, and I have so much love to give. I don’t need a perfect family or a complicated life. I need someone who will give me time, help me build confidence, and celebrate each small step as I learn. In return, I’ll give you my trust, my affection, and the joy of watching me blossom. I’m waiting for the person who will see beyond my fears and give me the safe, loving home I’ve always deserved. Most of all, I just want to be loved. PREY DRIVE: None observed so far. If any prey-drive behaviors appear in the future, I may need some guidance and training.GETS ALONG WITH DOGS: I get along well with male dogs CATS: Unknown KIDS: YesFEARS: I can get scared by new sounds and unfamiliar experiences because I still haven’t experienced so many things in this world. I just need a patient family who can show me that new things don’t have to be scary.TRAINING: some LEASH TRAINING: In progress HOUSE TRAINING: I don’t currently live in a traditional home environment, but I’m a very intelligent girl and I’m expected to learn quickly with patience and consistency.HEALTH NOTES: I have been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is 800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the adopter and the environment in which they live. Please Note:LALDR highly encourages adopters to research local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although one-on-one training is often not required, it is helpful to have support available should any problematic behaviors arise. Most issues can be modified if addressed early, so it’s important to guide your dog before small challenges become big problems.Basic training should begin only after your dog has settled in—usually after a couple of weeks. Once your new dog is relaxed and comfortable, check out local beginner courses. These help with socialization, confidence, public manners, and bonding. While most dogs fly directly to Vancouver with flight volunteers, some may need routes through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, extra fees will apply for cargo transfer within Canada. Cargo costs typically range from $350–$550, depending on the dog’s size. LALDR will be transparent about any additional transportation fees. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we cannot guarantee accuracy.Normally, homes with children under 12 are not approved. However, if a dog is known to be good with kids, applicants with children 8+ may be considered.[MID-EAST] Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1, and parainfluenza. Bordetella is not given in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests, including heartworm, ehrlichiosis, leishmania, and anaplasmosis.
