rubirosa

Meet RUBIROSA, a stunning 1 year old, 39lb Flat-Coated Retriever mix with the most soulful eyes and the gentlest heart. We just rescued this sweet mama after she was brought to the shelter with her 11 puppies. Having recently finished nursing, Rubirosa is very thin, with patchy fur, and needs time and nourishment to regain her strength. But through it all, she is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs we’ve ever met. Now in a foster home, she’s discovering what it means to be cared for herself. There’s nutritious food to help her gain weight, plenty of love, and even a new Frenchie brother to keep her company! Friendly with people and other dogs, Rubirosa is learning that she can finally relax and enjoy being a dog. She will be spayed once she has recovered from nursing and gained strength. After caring for 11 little lives, it’s this mama’s turn to be someone’s baby. We can’t wait to find Rubirosa a loving forever home where she can thrive. Apply to adopt at rescuecity.nyc/adopt.
