This pup will be available to meet starting on 10/24Meet Posh! Posh is a 1-year-old, 45-pound bundle of happiness, personality, and just the right amount of mischief! This sweet, goofy girl has never met a stranger and firmly believes that every person is a potential best friend, every dog is a potential playmate, and every snack deserves her immediate attention. Posh is incredibly smart, playful, and food motivated. She loves puzzle toys, adventures, sunbathing, and collecting rocks. Yes, rocks! Her foster reports that she has made it her personal mission to relocate the neighborhood's rocks into their backyard, one at a time. Beyond her hilarious personality, Posh has some seriously impressive manners! She's potty trained, uses a doggy door, and is exceptionally crate trained. She settles quietly while her foster works, isn't much of a barker, and is relatively low shedding. She's also wonderful for nail trims, vet visits, and taking medications. Posh absolutely loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playful canine sibling! She's still learning to recognize when other dogs aren't interested in playing, so a confident, dog-friendly companion who can help teach her boundaries would be ideal. Despite her youthful energy, she's also wonderfully independent and knows how to relax. Posh has overcome a difficult start, including a serious battle with pneumonia, and has blossomed into a happy, affectionate, resilient girl with so much love to give. She's ready for a family who will appreciate her silly antics, keep her mind and body active, and give her the wonderful life she deserves. Want to know more about Posh? Her previous foster has provided an incredibly detailed account of her personality, habits, medical journey, and daily life. Additional information is available upon request! If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees are non refundable once a pet is taken home. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up in Colorado, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances delaying pick up. Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
