WATCH MY VIDEO...Beautiful Gianna is just over a year old and has already experienced a heartbreaking change in her young life. She was surrendered to us after her former ownerâs landlord said she could no longer stay. Now this sweet girl is hoping her next home will be the one she never has to leave. Gianna is friendly, affectionate, playful, and full of personality! She loves being with her people and enjoys interactive play, especially when toys are involved. And although sheâs a good-sized girl, donât be surprised if she occasionally tries to squeeze herself into your lap. Gianna absolutely adores affection and has a softer, cuddly side to go along with all that youthful energy. Her former owner reports that Gianna is good with other dogs, and she really loves her canine friends. She can get so excited around them that she becomes quite vocal, so she may need a little help learning that she doesnât have to announce her feelings quite so enthusiastically! A dog meet and greet is always recommended. Gianna knows sit, paw, and lay down, and sheâs a smart girl who will benefit from continuing her training. She can be a little mouthy when sheâs excited, but it is playful behavior, and continued positive training will help her learn appropriate ways to express herself. Because Gianna is young and energetic, she can become overstimulated when there is too much happening around her. Plenty of exercise will be important for this active girl. Walks, opportunities to run and explore, interactive play, and activities that keep her mind busy will help her burn off some of that pent-up energy and make it easier for her to settle. Gianna has not had much opportunity to interact with children or cats, so we don't know how she would do with them. Her new family should be prepared to introduce her to new experiences slowly and positively. If you're looking for a young dog who will make you laugh, keep you moving, shower you with affection, and occasionally try to become your lap dog, Gianna may be your girl! She has plenty of youthful enthusiasm, but underneath it all is a loving dog who is ready to learn, grow, and find the family she's been waiting for.
